Join this event and come back with all the up-to-date information on high temperature shape memory alloys!

Dear reader,

Since the first conference on high temperature shape memory alloys organized by DGM in 2015 we have seen substantial progress in understanding the basic phenomena that govern the behaviour of these intriguing materials. Moreover, new material concepts such as high-entropy shape memory alloys have recently emerged. At the same time interest from industry has been growing continuously, and thus, it was timely to plan for a successor.

The 2nd International Conference on High Temperature Shape Memory Alloys will be held in Cloister Irsee from 15 to 18 May 2018.  Again, the conference will bring together the leading experts in order to advance the field and to bridge the gap „From Basics to Applications“.  Consequently, the organizing committee expects contributions that address topics such as the microstructure-property relationships, material characterisation, testing, processing and modelling and last but not least actual and envisaged applications of high temperature shape memory alloys.

The former Imperial Monastery Cloister Irsee will provide the perfect setting where the participants can meet, share their ideas and discuss recent progress in a relaxed and informal environment. So do not miss this opportunity and submit your abstract by November 17, 2017 at the latest through the conference website.

We look forward to seeing you in Irsee next spring!
